Description

As a Latina breaking the glass ceiling in corporate Finance, Sookie Vergudo-Springfield learned to take hard knocks. She has everything she could want—a great house, good job, and all around complete life. However, Sookie’s marriage is starting to struggle under the weight of responsibilities. She’s been working too many late nights while beginning to wonder if she and her husband aren’t drifting apart.

After a run in with her chauvinist boss, Sookie learns news that will change her life completely. Her strong willed Mexican grandmother, Josefina, has died, leading Sookie on a journey into her past to reflect on a single event which changed her concept of who she is forever.
