Am I worried? Of course, only an idiot doesn’t fear a very angry Coletti warlord. But, I am very good at what I do. Bad news is, so is Zarek.

Full of acerbic and at times dark humor, this was a great read. Detja and Zarek are the parents of the hero from “Just My Luck” Telling the tale of how they came to be a couple was appreciated and enjoyed.
Detja’s attitude gets her far, but the direction is usually that of trouble. Loaded with weapons at all times, her attitude and manner were entertaining every step of the way. Using her diminutive stature as a tool, she manages more mayhem that a group of large warriors. This not only intrigues Zarek it attracts him. Having lost two mates prior, he is very interested in her ability to take care of herself and fight by his side. A courtship like no other, Detja’s stubbornness meets its match and she goes down fighting. But she does fall and she’s not alone. A great entertaining read.
Another great book by Gail Koger. What a read! I just love the wit and action. Read it and you’ll agree.

I wanted to let you know that I just finished “The Warlords Comeuppance” and it was amazing. My favorite will always be “Just My Luck”, but this one was just as good as the first.
Loved Warlord’s Comeuppance and Just My Luck!!!! Romance that had me laughing out loud. I hope you continue with that series, if not, I am really looking forward to reading your future work. Your writing is so refreshing and creative, not your typical romance. I so enjoy the back and forth dialogue between your characters, as well as the strength of your female characters. Thank you for sharing your stories.
Just finished reading both of your warlord books for the umpteenth time and enjoy them just as much as the first read. Wondering if you’ll do another (or ten) in the series so we can keep up with our favorite bossy pricks. I really enjoy your writing and hope to read more from you soon.
